Raiders' Davante Adams and Derek Carr: Top passing tandem that's like a brotherhood

Derek Carr and Davante Adams share a connection stronger than friendship, and it's one reason why the Raiders won three consecutive games.

"That's like my real brother almost," Adams said following a win over the Chargers, 27-20.

Adams is like an older brother to Carr, who sees the game from the same perspective and offers wise advice.

"I've played with a lot of wide receivers in my nine-year career and a lot of smart guys. But Davante, he can see it like a quarterback," Carr told Vincent Bogsinore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal recently.

Every franchise wants a special relationship between quarterback and top wideout because it prevents turmoil from shaking the foundation.

Over the past three games, Adams and Carr flamed secondaries.

Adams averaged 130.6 yards per game, scoring four touchdowns. Carr threw seven touchdowns, posting a 98.2 passer rating.

Per The Associated Press' Josh Dubow, Adams and Carr account for 61.6 percent of the Raiders' yards from scrimmage, second-most in franchise history.

"Carr and Adams were teammates at Fresno State and routinely worked out in the offseason together before they became teammates once again. It took some time, but they rediscovered their groove," writes The Atheltic's Tashan Reed.

The flow forged an offense ranked ninth in scoring. The synergy between the former college teammates can diffuse throughout the team, which is why it reunited the pair in March.
