Potential free-agent additions for Colts include New Orleans standout

Positional needs for Indianapolis Colts: DE, WR, CB, QB

The Colts will likely select a QB in the 2023 NFL Draft, kick-starting the rebuild they've been trying to avoid since QB Andrew Luck retired. They hold the fourth overall pick but could trade up to No. 1 to select a QB. As they enter the offseason, the Colts can free up cap space by releasing several underperformers, including QB Matt Ryan.

Marcus Davenport, DE, New Orleans Saints

Entering his age-28 season, impending free-agent DE Yannick Ngakoue could bolt for a contender. He had another impressive season, registering 9.5 sacks in 15 games. Although Indianapolis might have to replace Ngakoue's production, its situation isn't the most attractive to free agents.

Indianapolis could lure Davenport, a former first-round pick from UTSA. In 2021, he had a career-high nine sacks but only a half sack in 2022. While the total is an obvious concern, he still generated 26 QB hurries compared to 27 in 2021.

Cameron Sutton, CB, Pittsburgh Steelers 

Starting slot CB Kenny Moore II was a Pro Bowler in 2021, but his play in 2022 might lead to his release. An ankle injury hampered Moore, but he was ineffective when he did play. His three pass breakups and zero interceptions were a drop from four interceptions and nine pass breakups in 2021.

With Pittsburgh in 2022, Sutton picked off three passes and broke up another eight, both career highs. He's not solely a slot CB, but he lined up for 185 snaps there this season. His versatility to play all over the field will make him a hot commodity in free agency. 

Sutton's estimated to receive a three-year, $22.9 million contract, per Sportrac's calculated market value.
