Post-waiver wire fantasy football pickups for Week 10

So your waiver claim (Carson) Wentz to someone else? Don’t worry. There’s plenty of talent still available for Week 10.

QB: Will Levis (Tennessee Titans)

Not that there was any doubt, but Titans head coach Mike Vrabel made it official this week by naming Levis the team’s starting quarterback for the rest of the year. Levis couldn’t replicate his four-touchdown, debut performance against the Steelers in Week 9, but he should have an easier time against Tampa Bay this week.

Texans rookie C.J. Stroud threw for 470 yards and five touchdowns against the Bucs on Sunday, taking advantage of a passing defense that gives up the second-most yards per game (279.4) in the NFL.

Tampa also gives up the second-most fantasy points (21.2 per game) to opposing quarterbacks. With a fairly soft schedule over the next three weeks, Levis would make an excellent addition to most fantasy rosters.

Levis is available in 61% of Yahoo! leagues.

RB: D’Onta Foreman (Chicago Bears)

Hopefully "Good Morning Football" analyst Kyle Brandt is ready for some more “angry runs” from Chicago’s backup running back. With teammate Khalil Herbert on the IR with an ankle injury, Foreman averaged 13.4 fantasy points per game over the past four weeks.

Herbert should be healthy enough to play in Week 10, but the Bears aren’t likely to put Foreman on the shelf, especially against his old team. Despite getting only 12 carries in his first five games with the Panthers, Foreman ran for 914 yards with five 100-yard games for Carolina last year.

Even with Herbert on the field, look for Chicago to keep Foreman involved against a Carolina defense allowing 30.21 fantasy points per game to running backs, the second-worst number in fantasy football.

Foreman is available in 45% of Yahoo! leagues.

WR: Noah Brown (Houston Texans)

Brown led all Texans receivers last week with 153 yards and a touchdown in only his fourth game of the season. Now fully recovered from the groin injury that cost him four games, the former Buckeye has done a good job filling in for the injured Robert Woods.

Woods remains questionable for Week 10 with a foot injury, which means Noah could have continued success against a Tampa team allowing the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2023.

Brown is available in 89% of Yahoo! leagues.

TE: Trey McBride (Arizona Cardinals)

We’ve been on the McBride bandwagon for some time now, but it seems nearly half of all fantasy players haven’t gotten the message. With Joshua Dobbs at quarterback in Week 8, McBride led all tight ends with 25.5 fantasy points. Catching passes from Clayton Tune in Week 9, he managed just 22 yards and 5.2 fantasy points.

This week he gets to play with quarterback Kyler Murray for the first time all year. With injured tight end Zach Ertz out of the picture, McBride should get plenty of looks from Arizona’s Pro Bowl QB.

McBride is available in 46% of Yahoo! leagues.

DST: Las Vegas Raiders

After relieving former head coach Josh McDaniels of his duties, the Raiders turned the roster over to linebackers coach, Antonio Pierce. The team responded with eight sacks, two interceptions and 19 fantasy points against the Giants in Week 9.

This week they’ll look to take advantage of New York’s other team. So far the Jets have allowed 10.88 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses which is third-most among NFL teams.

The Raiders defense is available in 45% of Yahoo! leagues.

K: Brandon McManus (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Only Cleveland’s Dustin Hopkins has averaged more fantasy points (14.25) than McManus (13.67) over the past four weeks. For the year, McManus’ average of 10.5 fantasy points per game is fifth best among kickers. With 12 field goals made in his last five games, he’s easily the best option for anyone in need of a kicker.

McManus is available in 67% of Yahoo! leagues.
