PFF says Buffalo Bills made one of the best moves of the second day of NFL free agency
Jamie Germano/Democrat and Chronicle / USA TODAY NETWORK

Pro Football Focus thinks the Buffalo Bills made one of the best moves of the day on Tuesday, the second day of NFL free agency.

PFF loves the Bills' decision to re-sign defensive lineman DaQuan Jones

Jones agreed to a two year deal with Buffalo worth $16 million with $10.5 million in total guaranteed money on Tuesday.

PFF gave the signing an "A+" for fit/need and an "A-" for value.

From PFF : Jones came out of the gates of the 2023 season on fire as an interior pass rusher, and the continued growth of Ed Oliver has enabled the two to work off each other and weaponize twists and stunts on the interior more effectively. Oliver still has a quick get-off and a bursty second step in his 30s, and Buffalo needed to add more defensive linemen, so why not retain a player you know is a fit as a three- to five-technique?

Jones, who was a fourth-round selection by the Tennessee Titans in the 2014 NFL Draft, had other teams interested, but he wanted to be back in Buffalo.

The former Penn State standout missed 10 games last season with a pectoral injury, but he still managed to record 2.5 sacks and five quarterback hits. In 2022, Jones set a career high with 11 quarterback hits.
