Panthers OC Thomas Brown Will Interview In-Person With Titans
USA TODAY Sports

NASHVILLE— Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Ran Carthon are entering the second round of interviews to replace former head coach Mike Vrabel.

Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown is one of three known candidates to get a second interview with the Titans. NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe was the first to report the Titans' interest in a follow-up conversation with Brown.

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator will also reportedly interview in person with the Titans.

The Titans did an on Jan 18 with Brown via Zoom. All interviews with coaches employed by NFL teams had to be virtual until Monday after the Divisional Round of the playoffs ended.

During the previous offseason, Brown was interviewed for the head coach position of the Houston Texans, which ultimately went to DeMeco Ryans. Brown began his career as an NFL coach in 2020 with the Los Angeles Rams after spending 10 years in college football, including two stints at his alma mater, the University of Georgia.

Brown served as the assistant head coach under Sean McVay with the Rams before joining the Panthers as their offensive coordinator.

Once the Titans interview Brown, they will comply with the Rooney Rule since they interviewed former Stanford coach David Shaw on Sunday in person.
