NFL Draft bets: Wild market fluctuation on Bryce Young to be drafted first due to ESPN report

Ever since the Carolina Panthers traded up to the top spot of the upcoming NFL Draft, it's been expected that they did so with Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud in mind.

Remarks from ESPN Insider Chris Mortensen have thrown the betting market into a frenzy. Mortensen went on the air to discuss Carolina's love for Bryce Young, and that Young appears to be the pick.

What's followed has been a betting rollercoaster. Earlier this morning, Stroud was -250 on FanDuel to be selected first, with Young behind him at +200. The two briefly converged, both at -110 to be selected first, with other major books like DraftKings shutting down the market entirely.

As of this writing, DK still has yet to reopen up bets for the first QB selected or the first pick in the draft. Stroud is back to -200 on FD, while Young is now +150.

We still have three weeks to go before Round 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft, and this is surely a story set to take us all the way to that first podium visit.

If you trust Mortensen's stance, now may be the time to load up on Young, the 2021 Heisman winner, to be taken at the top of this year's draft.
