New Orleans Saints agree to restructured deal with star offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk during free agency

The legal tampering period during 2024 free agency has been quite busy around the NFL. The New Orleans Saints have not made many moves, but they just opened the door to getting more active.

The Saints agreed to a reworked contract with star OT Ryan Ramczyk

The adjustment follows the agreement with linebacker Willie Gay Jr. on a one-year contract.

Ramczyk's adjustment created "about" $14M in cap space for New Orleans, according to Nick Underhill

Ramczyk's base salary will now be the veteran minimum in 2024. He started twelve games last season.

The move was a predictable one as the Saints needed to officially become cap compliant on Wednesday. Now, that is no longer on the to-do list. They'll now have enough cap space to make more moves in free agency.

Ramczyk is one of the top offensive talents for New Orleans. Keeping him in the fold was important as they continue to strive for the NFC South crown, too.

Expect an updated salary cap number later today for the Saints.
