As the NFL and NFLPA continue their investigation into the Miami Dolphins' decision to allow quarterback Tua Tagovailoa play in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team's head coach addressed the matter on Monday afternoon.

McDaniel confirmed Tua’s MRI came back clean and they aren’t an organization that bats an eye at multiple opinions.
The first-year head coach also ruled out Tagovailoa for Week 5 against the New York Jets and named Teddy Bridgewater the starter. McDaniel noted that it's still too early to give a definitive timeline for the Alabama product's return.
With the investigation ongoing, the NFLPA made a big move on Saturday, terminating the contract of the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant (UNC) involved in clearing the quarterback in Miami's Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Mike McDaniel says he can’t speak to NFLPA’s decision to part ways with UNC related to Tua’s concussion check & noted if pending changes to concussion protocol help 1 extra player he’s all for it.

McDaniel said he’s “still very confident” in how team handled Tua’s Bills injury.
