Las Vegas Raiders hit the jackpot with incredible PSL sales

The Las Vegas Raiders are doing things in the desert metropolis before they have even played their first game in Nevada.

Fresh off the Raiders and the rest of the NFL releasing the 2020 schedule, we’re getting a better understanding of the financial implications surrounding the Raiders’ move from Northern California to the Las Vegas desert. It is something else.

According to this note from Mick Ayers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the sale of personal seat licenses (PSLs) for the Raiders' initial season at Allegiant Stadium has brought in a cool $549.2 million in cold-hard cash.

This comes after reports indicated that Raiders tickets from a season ago in Oakland have increased 527 percent on the secondary market. They are currently averaging almost $1,100 per ticket.

Interest in the Raiders’ brand is seemingly at an all-time high since the organization officially announced its relocation from California.

Whether that actually pays off with fans in attendance this coming fall due to the ongoing pandemic remains to be seen.
