King of Props: Restored rushing attack

The rivalry between the Browns and Ravens is especially heated because one team used to be the other. When owner Art Modell infamously moved his franchise from Cleveland to Baltimore in 1996, battle lines were drawn. The Ravens currently hold a 35-12 advantage in the series, and if they’re going to earn the victory that achieves the 75% mark, it will probably be powered by the player we like for our top prop:

The bet: Over 48½ rushing yards for Ravens running back JK Dobbins (DraftKings)

A second-round pick out of Ohio State in 2020, Dobbins ran for 805 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie. But he missed all of last year with a torn ACL, and then lingering issues with the knee required an additional surgery, forcing him to the sideline for nearly two months of this season.

Thankfully, Dobbins looked a lot closer to his old self in last week’s return against the Steelers. He exploded for a 44-yard run in the first quarter and finished the game with 120 yards on just 15 attempts. His workload as a rusher should gradually increase, with Gus Edwards getting a lesser share and Kenyan Drake playing more on passing downs.

The Browns allow 5.2 yards per carry to running backs, which is the third-highest average in the league. Baltimore rushed for 160 yards in the first meeting, and now the Cleveland defense is missing inside linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

With quarterback Lamar Jackson not playing this time around, the Ravens’ featured ballcarrier will be Dobbins.
