Jordan Love helps fan out of snow drift ahead of NFL Playoffs
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

Jordan Love can do more than launch a perfect spiral. On Friday, a Green Bay Packers fan posted a photo of their niece and Jordan Love, claiming the third-year quarterback helped her niece out of a snow drift.

That’s one way to endear yourself to a fanbase. Of course, Love has already earned Packers fans’ respect. In his debut campaign as the team’s starter, Love has amassed 4,159 passing yards and 32 touchdowns while only throwing 11 interceptions.

Love is one of only 10 QBs in the league to throw 4,000 or more passing yards. Love was particularly impressive in Green Bay’s 17-9 win over the Chicago Bears to close the regular season. In the win, Love completed 27-of-his-32 pass attempts for 316 yards and two scores. He did not throw a pick.

Aaron Rodgers brags on Jordan Love

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback and teammate of Love’s Aaron Rodgers joined the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ on Tuesday. While on air, Rodgers bragged about Love’s performance in the victory.

“Well, where’s all the criticism? It’s a little quiet. A little bit quiet isn’t it?” Rodgers asked. “A lot of s— talking was going on, a little quiet now. So I don’t know if he used any of that for motivation, it’s always fun to quiet those people though. Proud of him, he’s a great kid and he’s had a nice season. A lot of people were piling on at 6-8 weren’t they?”

Love spent the first two seasons of his career sitting behind Rodgers, learning the ropes and waiting for his time to be the Packers starting quarterback. That time came ahead of the 2023 season after Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets.

Rodgers couldn’t be prouder of Love’s growth.

“That was a pretty masterclass performance by Jordan, I think he had only what five or six incompletions? Yeah he played great, took care of the football, made a lot of plays, and now they’re in the playoffs,” Rodgers said.

Love and Packers will take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in the NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs in a matchup that will feature Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy facing off against his former team after previously coaching the Packers for over a decade.

The Packers did not face the Cowboys previously this season. Love will seek his first career playoff win this Sunday as the Cowboys host the Packers at 4:30 p.m. ET in a game airing on FOX.
