Jay Cutler is the best Bears quarterback all-time

The people that make the argument for Luckman, act as if they have watched every game he’s ever played. Pleading their case of what a great passer he was, how he could run. I doubt most of these people have ever looked at the numbers. They go by what the t.v tells them. Luckman played 12 seasons for the franchise. In those 12 seasons eight times he threw more interceptions then touchdowns. He once threw a staggering 31 interceptions in a 12 game season! He threw 132 interceptions in his career and 137 touchdowns while totaling 14,686 passing yards. I will simply ignore anyone that tries to tell me Luckman was better then Cutler.

Jim McMahon

Listen, I love Mad Mac as much as anyone. I really do, but I have to call it like I see it. Had McMahon been able to stay healthy maybe I would lean more towards him. McMahon was a great quarterback but the help around him can’t be denied. With a brick wall for an offensive line, and one of the greatest running backs all-time. He had solid receivers too, Dennis McKinnon the best in my opinion, Willie Gault was a burner but always had a case of the drops, and throw in reliable Dennis Gentry as well. McMahon threw for 18,148 yards with 100 touchdowns and 90 interceptions. He made the pro-bowl in 85 winning the Superbowl that year. He would also win a Superbowl as a back up to Favre in 96. Mad Mac stayed true to the Bears though, when the Packers went to the White House for their victory the punky qb was rocking his Bears jersey.

Jay Cutler

A lot of people don’t give Jay his due credit because of his cocky attitude. This coming from a city that worships Micheal Jordan. Not only does Cutler have the best numbers in team history, he did it while dealing with a circus around him. I can’t fathom the courage it takes to stand in the pocket when your blind side is being protected by a decaying Orlando Pace, or guys like Frank Omiyale and J’marcus Webb. Johnny Knox was his best receiver until Marshall and Jeffrey finally showed up. Even that was ruined by that weirdo Marc Trestman and his need for growing men and football. The offensive coordinator’s given to him were ja revolving clown car of garbage. I’m shocked Mike Martz didn’t get him killed with his 20 step drop backs. Thank God for Matt Forte.

2010 NFC Championship

A lot of people like to knock Jay for leaving the 2010 title game against the Packers due to injury. Saying he quit on his team. Are you nuts!? How can you question Cutlers toughness. All the crap he went through and he’s going to give up on his only shot to get to the Superbowl? Cutler played his butt off for you Chicago. Remember that. In his career he threw for 35,133 yards 31st in NFL history, 227 touchdowns 32nd in NFL history and 160 interceptions. A pretty good touchdown to interception ratio for a guy people say threw to many picks. He is the franchise leader in all three. I love Jay Cutler and what he did as a Bear. How quickly people forget what we had gone through before Jay. As much as I love the guy hopefully in about 10 years I will be saying he’s the second best Bears quarterback all-time.
