Jarrett Named To NFL Top 100; Where'd He Land?
USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Grady Jarrett has been one of the most underrated defenders in the NFL since he had his breakout game during Super Bowl 51, but players around the league know his worth.

Jarrett was named to the NFL's Top 100 Players List for the third time in his career on Wednesday night and was voted as the No. 63 player in the entire league. This marks the second-highest ranking Jarrett has received from the NFL Top 100. The former Clemson Tiger was previously voted on the list in 2020 (No. 91) and 2021 (No. 54).

The NFL Top 100 is a list voted on by the players, for the players. It gives players around the league an opportunity to rank their peers and offer praise wherever they think it belongs.

Jarrett did not crack the rankings in 2022 but is back after recording six sacks, 30 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hits, and three pass breakups last fall. Jarrett is the second Falcon to make the NFL Top 100 list this year, joining offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom who was rated at No. 87.

Jarrett, a team captain, is entering his ninth NFL season as the second longest-tenured player on the Falcons' roster and will lead a defensive line that was bolstered this offseason by veteran free agents Calais Campbell and David Oneymata.

With Atlanta's defense under the guidance of new defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, Jarrett is poised to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines with his new teammates in 2023.
