The Detroit Lions have decided to bring back linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin, as the 28-year-old has agreed to terms to make a return after spending one season with the Houston Texans.

Reeves-Maybin had a career season with the Lions in 2021, as he recorded 82 combined tackles, one quarterback hit, four tackles for loss, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in 15 games.

The 28-year-old signed a two-year contract worth $7.5 million to join the Texans, but only lasted one season, as he primarily filled a backup role.

Reeves-Maybin found success with the Lions on special teams after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Austin Bryant signs with 49ers

After four seasons in Detroit, defensive lineman Austin Bryant has departed to join the San Francisco 49ers.

Unfortunately, Bryant did not light up the stat sheet after a solid collegiate career with the Clemson Tigers.

His most productive season was back in 2021, when he secured 4.5 sacks, five tackles for loss and six quarterback hits in 14 appearances.

Last season, the 26-year-old appeared in nine games, recording 208 defensive snaps.

In 33 career games, Bryant has recorded 4.5 career sacks.
