The critics of Jalen Hurts as a passer are going to have a field day with this. But it actually happened: ESPN's Dan Orlovsky jumped into the "Precision Passing'' challenge this week at the 2024 Pro Bowl in Orlando ....
And he posted a better score than Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts. For real.
Orlovsky, 40, has been out of the NFL since 2017. And when he was actually in the NFL? He was a journeyman at best, sticking in the league for seven years ... while recording just seven starts.
But in this controlled environment? Even wearing street clothes - including a necktie - his performance was noteworthy.
We're serious.

Baker Mayfield of the Bucs ultimately won the Precision Passing challenge, but it was Orlovsky - topping Hurts and Tua - who stole the show.
In real life? Orlovsky entire NFL career stats don't suggest much; he ended with 3,132 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. ... and his low-water marks include being on 2008 Lions team that went 0-16, and stepping out of the back of an end zone on an ill-fated passing attempt.
But on this day? Orlovsky is a big winner.
