Jalen Hurts shows off a healthy knee in latest workout video
Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts battled through a bone bruise injury for much of the 2023 season.

Even though Hurts denied it, you could tell it bothered him as he sometimes wore a knee brace, limped when he ran or looked hesitant to run at all.

In every press conference, Hurts would ignore questions about the current status of his knee injury or chalk it up that he was "fine."

Despite having a banged-up knee, Hurts still led the Eagles to a 10-1 start to the regular season before losing five of their final six matchups.

It was hard to blame those final losses on Hurts' health since the defense struggled greatly, though it did concern many that he wasn't 100 percent heading into the offseason.

However, Hurts' latest workout video should put some of those doubts or concerns about his knee injury or overall health to rest.

Hurts' dad and quarterback trainer, Averion Hurts, posted a workout clip of Jalen on his personal Instagram story.

In the video, Jalen looked to be running like a gazelle with a big emphasis on extending his knees and leaping at full speed.

Looking at the clip, Hurts' knee doesn't appear to be bothering him at all.

Even with the injury last fall, Hurts threw for 3,858 and 23 touchdowns. He became the first NFL quarterback to rush for 15 touchdowns in a single season.

But then again, he also threw 15 interceptions.

Injury or no injury, it was obvious that Hurts wasn't the same quarterback that led the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance in 2022. The coaching staff didn't help his case either.

There will be several workout videos of Hurts posted this offseason, but fans and analysts are going to continue to doubt him until he can prove he's not a complete wash in 2024.
