Jalen Hurts offers encouraging injury update

The Philadelphia Eagles have had a, perhaps not difficult, but certainly disappointing past 12 months.

Philadelphia Eagles’ Up and Down Past Year

The Eagles lost Super Bowl LVII in exceptionally close fashion, having quarterback Jalen Hurts go head-to-head with now three-time Super Bowl champion, Patrick Mahomes, and come so close to succeeding, even amidst reports of poor “sod” surfaces.

And following an impressive 10-1 bounce back this season in 2023, the Philadelphia Eagles essentially imploded, losing 5 of their last 6 and eventually getting blown out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

In part, this was attributed to Jalen Hurts’ knee injury, sustained mid-season – that seemed to limit the two-time Pro Bowler and former second-team All-Pro. Many Eagles fans were worried about their star quarterback’s knee going into the offseason – however, a video from Hurts’ father’s Instagram page; aptly named “Coach (Averion) Hurts”, will certainly bring some excitement back to the Philly faithful.

Jalen Hurts’ Recovery Looks Complete

Hurts’ 4th season in the NFL was marred by limited movement outside the pocket and an inability to improvise off script over the second half of the season – arguably the greatest strengths of the Alabama alum.

However, demonstrating what seems to be complete movement in both his knees and prime athletic ability – like always, Hurts should be set to return to the Eagles with a vengeance.

Philadelphia bolstered their already stacked roster this offseason through the addition of a nice WR 3 in Devante Parker, and former (and still only 26 years old) All – Pro, Devin White at inside linebacker.

A fit Jalen Hurts, combined with what has been an excellent offensive line and, in 2022, a fierce defense, could see a very dangerous revenge tour for the Eagles.
