Is ex-Packer Mason Crosby trying to get the Titans’ attention?

It’s no secret the Tennessee Titans are in desperate need of a kicker, especially after cutting the only one on their roster over the weekend.

It appears free agent Mason Crosby presumably had the Titans and their situation in mind when he posted a video to Instagram a few days ago of himself kicking field goals at Nashville-area Brentwood High School with the caption, “In the words of [Deion Sanders] ‘I ain’t too hard [to] find.’”

It was Crosby’s fourth post since July 25 showing him kicking field goals at the nearby high school, which is just a short 20-minute drive from Nissan Stadium. The 38-year-old kicker posted a series of videos on Aug. 1 that show him making kicks from 50, 54 and 57 yards, plus two makes from 60.

Crosby, who has a career field goal percentage of 81.1, made 86.2 percent (25 of 29) of his field goals last season in Green Bay. It was the ninth time in the last 12 seasons that he made 80 percent or more of his field goals, and he’s made multiple kicks from 50 yards or more in 12 of his 16 seasons.

After cutting Michael Badgley over the weekend, the Titans don’t have a kicker on their roster with the deadline to finalize 53-man rosters Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. Badgley is the fourth kicker the Titans have cut since the end of the season, joining Randy Bullock (last year’s starter), Caleb Shudak and Trey Wolff.

Tennessee has had arguably the most volatile kicking situation in the NFL over the last four years. Over that span, the Titans rank last in the league in made field goals (74), field goal attempts (102) and field goal percentage (72.5). They’re also one of just three teams in that stretch to have a combined field goal percentage below 80.

Of the 10 players to kick in a regular season game for the Titans since 2019, only three — Randy Bullock (85 percent on 17 of 20 attempts), Cody Parkey (100 percent on 3 of 3 attempts) and Sam Sloman (100 percent on 2 of 2 attempts) — have made at least 85 percent of their kicks.
