Inactives for Falcons vs. Cardinals, Week 10
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The (4-5) Atlanta Falcons are just minutes away from their Week 10 matchup against the (1-8) Arizona Cardinals and they're already off to a bad start.

Defensive tackle David Onyemata, who was questionable for Sunday due to an ankle injury, has been downgraded to out versus Arizona. His absence is a huge blow for the Falcons' defense considering he is tied for the team's sack leader and is one of the team's lead tacklers.

Below is the Falcons full list of inactives against the Cardinals:

  • WR Mack Hollins
  • CB Dee Alford
  • OL Jovaughn Gwyn
  • DL Travis Bell
  • DL Joe Gaziano
  • DL David Onyemata
  • QB Logan Woodside (3rd QB)

In addition to Onyemata, wide receiver Mack Hollins and cornerback Dee Alford are also inactive, though they were ruled out on Friday due to ankle injuries.

Expect Ta'Quon Graham to step up at nose tackle in Onyemata's place. The Falcons also elevated wide receiver Frank Darby and defensive lineman Timmy Horne from the practice squad for extra depth.

This is a must-win game for the Falcons if they want a shot at a playoff birth and if Arthur Smith plans on keeping his job next season. It's also a chance for quarterback Taylor Hienicke to officially take over Desmond Ridder's starting job.
