After Arizona’s loss on Thursday night, the Texans, along with the Falcons, are one of the two undefeated teams left in the NFL.

Tonight, they take on the 2-2 Jets, who are coming into this game after a 34-0 loss to San Francisco last week.

The calls for Tim Tebow will surely be heard tonight if Mark Sanchez struggles.

Houston and New York square off tonight on Monday Night Football. Can Mark Sanchez play well enough to keep the calls for Tim Tebow at bay?

Houston Texans

The Texans are easily the best team in the league thus far, and they are the least surprising of the top teams in the league. They were expected to come into this season and dominate, and they have done just that. Houston has a two-game lead in the AFC South, with the Colts being the only team slightly close in competition.

Houston has had the luxury of having an average strength of schedule through their first four games. The only challenging team that they have faced has been the Broncos, whom they defeated 31-25.

The offensive domination has been backed up by the defense as well. The Texans have scored at least 27 points in every game this season, while the defense has allowed over 14 points only once, which came against Denver.

Houston has the top overall defense in the league in terms of yards allowed, which comes as no surprise. They have also allowed the fewest points by any team, and they can keep that title if they allow fewer than twelve against the Jets.

New York Jets

The Jets were 2-1 and were avoiding talks of change until last week’s embarrassing 34-0 loss against the 49ers. They only recorded 145 total yards of offense, with 100 of those coming through the air. Sanchez only threw one interception, but he could simply get nothing going throughout the entire game.

The problem from last week’s game is that Sanchez went 13-29 and did not throw a single touchdown. Tonight’s game takes place in New York, which only means that more chants for Tebow will be heard throughout the night. Sanchez should not be benched at the moment, but it will be hard to ignore calls for Tebow if the offense doesn’t get going.

The Jets defense got gashed last week in the running game by the 49ers. They allowed 245 yards on the ground, with six players recording double-digit rushing yards. Not only will they have to stop Arian Foster tonight, but also Ben Tate. It does not seem likely that the Jets will be able to hold the Texans’ rushing duo under 100 combined yards.

Texans-Jets Prediction

The Texans are 4-0, and they are the best team in the league. They will continue to show how great they are with an easy win over the struggling Jets tonight.

Texans 31 | Jets 17
