Hall of Famer rips Buccaneers after embarrassing loss
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just suffered one of their worst losses in recent memory.

Part of the pain of this loss comes from the fact that it was the fourth in a row for a team that looked very promising at the start of the season, but other issues with this loss come from just how bad it was against an inferior opponent.

The fanbase is rightfully upset with the recent level of play from this franchise, and former players and Hall of Famers with their names in the Ring of Honor are taking notice.

There are few players that mean as much to the Buccaneers as Ronde Barber. Barber will always be one of the best players in franchise history, served a pivotal role on that Super Bowl team, and has received a ton of love from the team over the better part of the past decade as he patiently waited for his much-deserved spot in the Hall of Fame.

When a guy like Barber speaks, the Buccaneers (and the whole NFL) need to listen. Barber had plenty to say about yesterday's performance.

The Ring of Honor member didn't waste any time when discussing his former team. Saying they have the worst secondary in football might sound rough, but it is the truth.

How else do you explain such a performance from a rookie quarterback with limited pass-catching options?

The league as a whole has figured out that you can pass at will against this team, a fact that should be a major point of embarrassment for head coach Todd Bowles.

From questionable players on the field to good players that have inexplicably taken a turn for the worse on the field, there is not much to like about this defense, and Barber was well within his rights to bring up his concerns.

The Bucs are a mess right now. Former players calling the team out may be a little embarrassing, but Todd Bowles and company need to listen to it.
