Grady Jarrett has message following injury news
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons received devastating news following Sunday’s contest. Grady Jarrett left the game with a leg injury, but he did head to the locker room on his power. Unfortunately, it was later revealed that he suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.

It’s heartbreaking in a number of ways. Jarrett is the heart and soul of the Falcons. His production on the field can not be replicated, but it will be just as difficult to mimic his impact in the locker room. The Falcons defense won’t be the same without him, but most of all, this is a brutal blow for Jarrett himself.

A nine-year veteran, Jarrett has spent his entire career in Atlanta. He is one of the few remaining players from the Super Bowl team in 2016 and has stuck around through this entire rebuild. Nobody wants to return to the postseason more than Jarrett, and the Falcons have a real chance to do that for the first time since 2017.

For a player on the wrong side of 30, who knows how many more opportunities he’ll have, especially after such a significant injury, but Grady Jarrett isn’t discouraged.

“Ready for whatever, However,” Grady Jarrett said in his first public message since the injury on Instagram. “Warrior mindset, No Weakness.. The Best is always Yet to come. Gonna be back, and better than ever. Let’s get it.”

If there’s anyone prepared to come back from such an injury after nine years in the league, it’s Grady Jarrett. The Falcons are going to desperately miss him for the rest of the season.
