GM Eric DeCosta: Ravens 'working at' Lamar Jackson's 'pace' on extension

Former NFL MVP Lamar Jackson is fresh off his second Pro Bowl season in his four years in the league. If it weren't for his injury troubles and missed contests at the end of the campaign, the numbers could have been even closer to his 2019 MVP year.

Despite sitting out the final four games of the regular season with an ankle injury, Jackson still produced a 64.4% completion percentage for 2,882 passing yards and added 767 more yards on the ground. On the flip side, Jackson's 16 passing touchdowns were his fewest since his rookie season, his 13 interceptions were a career-high and his two rushing touchdowns were a career-low.

Now, the Ravens are set to spend part of the offseason evaluating where they'll go on contract extension talks with the former Louisville signal-caller, whose 2022 campaign will be the final season of his rookie deal. Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta discussed the issue on Friday morning.
