Four more potential targets for Eagles in free agency

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has stayed busy this offseason, signing running back Saquon Barkley, pass-rusher Bryce Huff, linebacker Devin White and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson in free agency and trading for quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Before free agency began, Roseman extended defensive end Brandon Graham, guard Landon Dickerson, punter Braden Mann, long snapper Rick Lovato and kicker Jake Elliott. Roseman, however, probably isn't done upgrading the roster.

Philadelphia's defense played poorly down the stretch last season, finishing 26th in yards allowed overall, so another defender could be in the mix before the draft April 25-27 in Detroit. 

Roseman believes in building through the trenches and could target another offensive lineman for depth or to compete at right guard, assuming Cam Jurgens makes the switch to center following Jason Kelce's retirement.

Here are four free agents the Eagles could target.

RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire

The free-agency running back market is littered with players with injury histories, but Edwards-Helaire seems like a safe option. Per Spotrac, he has a $1.6 million projected market value, so he would come relatively cheap. Edwards-Helaire wouldn't be competing for a starting spot with Barkley, but he could be a reliable short-yardage back. He rushed for only 223 yards on 70 carries and one touchdown last season for the Chiefs.

Guard Dalton Risner

This might be a transition year for the Eagles at guard. If Jurgens moves to center, Tyler Steen would get the first nod, but if he isn't the answer, Risner is a solid option. Risner, who started 11 games last season for the Vikings, has 73 career starts and could compete for the starting right guard slot.

Safety Quandre Diggs

Entering his ninth year in the NFL, Diggs has been a reliable free safety for the Lions and Seahawks. He has familiarity with cornerback Darius Slay from their Detroit days and could be a good veteran addition to a safety group that is young and inexperienced. He had one interception last season for Seattle.

WR Josh Reynolds

The Eagles signed DeVante Parker to a relatively cheap deal (one year, $4.69M) and could be in the market to do a similar deal for added depth at receiver. Reynolds played in 31 games the past two seasons for the Lions (78 catches, 1,087 yards, eight TD catches). The Eagles already have a dynamic one-two punch in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but under the right circumstances, Reynolds would be a solid contributor, perhaps as a WR3 option.
