Former Pittsburgh WR Antonio Brown says he wants to 'retire a Steeler'

Yes, Antonio Brown is in the news again. It isn't because he wants to play for a certain team. It's because he wants to retire with a certain team.

The embattled and unsigned wide receiver took to the tweet machine to say that all he wants is to retire as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team he spent nearly a decade playing for.

Despite making seven Pro Bowl appearances during his time in Pittsburgh, to say that Brown's tenure there "didn't end well" is a big understatement. After publicly bashing the Steelers' front office and then forcing them into trading him to the Las Vegas Raiders, Brown has had difficulty staying with a team. He went to the Patriots after not playing a single snap for the Raiders and most recently had a comeback bid with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cut short due to his antics both off and on the field. After suspensions and a very public on-field meltdown, the Bucs chose to part ways with the former sixth-round pick.

Brown has made several public bids to play with other teams since he dramatically left the Buccaneers mid-game last January. So far, none of those attempts have panned out. It's anyone's guess whether an offer to simply retire with a team instead of play for them will work out better.
