Fehoko is the cousin of Steelers defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko. Breiden is one of Simi’s five cousins who played college football at some level. Simi played high school football in Utah while Breiden played in Hawai’i, so they never got to play with one another in high school.

Simi Fehoko was a fifth-round pick out of Stanford in 2021. During those two years in Dallas, he caught three passes for 24 yards. Fehoko, 25, is a Salt Lake City native. He went on a two-year mission to Korea before enrolling at Stanford to play college football in 2018. During those years, he earned a first-team All-Pac 12 selection in 2020, catching 37 passes for 574 yards in just six games.

He finished college with 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns on 62 receptions. At his pro day, Fehoko ran a 4.43 40-yard dash, measuring at 10-foot broad jump and 34.5-inch vertical. At 6-foot-3, 222 pounds, he is a bigger receiver that plays with physicality. However, he never found the field consistently with the Cowboys. In October of 2022, he suffered a shoulder injury that put him on injured reserve in Dallas.

Now, he will look to find a new beginning in Pittsburgh. The Steelers have six wide receivers on the roster, with Fitzpatrick on the practice squad. Fehoko could join a group that often carries at least eight players between the active roster and the practice squad.
