Former Colts S Malik Hooker tortures old team in Cowboys' win

On Sunday night, Dallas Cowboys' safety Malik Hooker tortured his former team, the Indianapolis Colts, forcing two turnovers, leading to 14 points, in a one-sided, 54-19 blowout.

The Cowboys came away with five turnovers against the Colts as a team, and Hooker started the party late in the opening half.

With 1:03 left before halftime, and the Cowboys holding a slim 14-13 lead, Hooker came down with a tipped Matt Ryan pass.

Five plays later, the quarterback Dak Prescott hooked up with Michael Gallup from 13 yards out, giving Dallas a 21-13 advantage at the break.

Hooker returned to bite his former squad again with 13:34 remaining in the fourth quarter.

After Dallas took a 28-19 lead, on the first play of the Colts' ensuing drive, Hooker scooped up a Moe Allie-Cox fumble and returned it 38 yards for the first defensive touchdown of his career.

Selected 15th overall by the Colts in 2017, Hooker spent the first four years of his NFL career in Indianapolis before signing a free-agent deal with the Cowboys ahead of the 2021 season.

This season, the 26-year-old has recorded 43 tackles, with four interceptions in 11 games for the Cowboys.

Hooker and the Cowboys are riding high, moving to 9-3 after Sunday's victory, the team's third in a row.
