The Houston Texans re-signed a former Chiefs defensive tackle Tuesday. The Texans are adding to their roster for DeMeco Ryans’ first season with the team as a head coach. The Texans signed a record-breaking starter Monday. Now the team will have a player who was with the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs earlier in the 2022 season.
According to NFL agent Brett Tessler, Taylor Stallworth signed a one-year deal with the Texans. He played for the Chiefs last season before joining the Texans.
My client Taylor Stallworth has agreed on a one-year deal to stay with the Houston Texans. 6th year D-Tackle played for the Chiefs and Texans last season and was with the Indianapolis Colts prior to that.

Stallworth was a 2018 undrafted free agent initially signed by the New Orleans Saints. The South Carolina product has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts as well. The Texans signed him in December 2022 off waivers.
Between the Texans and Chiefs, Stallworth appeared in a combined seven games last season. He made eight total tackles in 2022. Stallworth has 4.5 sacks in his NFL career. We’ll see if he has a chance to grow with the new regime in Houston.
