Former Arizona Cardinals WR Antoine Wesley has been medically cleared to return to football activities, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

"Former #Ravens and #AZCardinals WR Antoine Wesley was medically cleared today and is ready to workout for teams, source said. Wesley missed 2022 with a quad injury, but was slated to see significant playing time before his injury. He had 19 catches for 208 yards and 3 TDs in 2021," wrote Rapoport in a tweet.

Wesley first entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2019, spending his rookie season on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad.

He arrived in Arizona for the 2021 season and saw a few opportunities despite playing on a crowded depth chart during his time with the Cardinals. He was placed on injured reserve with a quad tear before playing a game last season and never returned.

Many fans remember is notable two touchdown performance in the team's win over the Dallas Cowboys during the 2021 season.

Wesley was one of 20+ free agents to hit the open market in the offseason, and the recent medical green light could see him find a new opportunity.
