Former All-Pro explains why he still has doubts about the Ravens even after the 32-point win vs. Lions
USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens had their fair share of doubters following their upset losses to the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers. After back-to-back convincing wins over the Tennessee Titans and the Detroit Lions, many such doubters have turned into believers who view the Ravens as the top team in the AFC.

Former All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman tuned in to watch the Ravens’ 38-6 victory over Detroit. Sherman was left impressed with Baltimore’s win on the day, but he still can not get over just how the current AFC North leaders performed against Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.

"There's still some concern about that loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where their offense scored 10 points," Sherman said during Monday’s airing of FOX Sports 1’s “Undisputed” program. "You can't forget about that, there hasn't enough time passed to let me forget about that. Now, how Lamar Jackson played the other day was outstanding, was incredible. ... It's just those games, that loss to the Colts, that lost to Pittsburgh where they just did not look as impressive. Now, them beating a very good Detroit team and beating the breaks off of them, I got to give him that. It's a great win.

"It's just those other games are the reasons why I have a hard time saying this is the best team in the AFC."

The Ravens have picked up multiple statement wins along the way this season. They are 4-1 against teams who currently have a record of .500 and above.

Baltimore will have a golden opportunity in its upcoming Week 8 road matchup against the Arizona Cardinals to string together a three-game winning streak for the first time this season.
