Ed Reed commits huge blunder during Hall of Fame speech
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Ed Reed committed a huge blunder during his Hall of Fame induction speech on Saturday night in Canton.

Reed was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2019. He spoke following Ty Law and began his speech on an awkward note.

Reed began by thanking Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and former Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome. Then he thanked his head coaches, but he mistakenly called Brian Billick “Coach Belichick”. He also thanked John Harbaugh.

Yikes. That was bad. Harbaugh was shown on TV making an awkward face after hearing that.

Was that a slip by Reed? He’s said that he has interest in coaching for Belichick’s New England Patriots. He also said during his playing career that he could play for Belichick.

We do know that Belichick is a big fan of Reed as well:

Reed should try to clear that up at some point.
