Philadelphia wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland sustained a neck injury and was carted off the field on Thursday during the Eagles' preseason home game against the Cleveland Browns.

The Eagles subsequently announced Cleveland sustained a neck injury but retained movement in all of his extremities.

Near the midway point of the third quarter, Cleveland leaped in an attempt to make a catch. The pass was broken up by a defender, and Cleveland landed on his head and neck. He lay face down on the turf after the play before the medical staff came to assist him.

Cleveland had one reception for 4 yards before exiting the game.

The 25-year-old Florida alumnus was selected by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2020 draft. He spent the past three years in Denver, seeing the majority of his action on special teams. Cleveland signed with the Eagles earlier this year.

In six games last year, Cleveland had two receptions for 28 yards. Overall in 23 NFL games, he has eight catches for 91 yards. He has also returned 12 kickoffs an average of 21 yards.
