The Philadelphia Eagles have built up a Super Bowl-worthy roster, and the best part is that it seems set for some time to come.

After coming within seconds of a championship last season, the Eagles took steps to lock up their roster for the long haul. The most notable move was signing quarterback Jalen Hurts to a monster extension, with him now under contract through the 2028 season. With other moves, such as re-signing center Jason Kelce, cornerbacks James Bradberry and Darius Slay and more, the Eagles have most of their key players under contract for the foreseeable future.

As such, there aren't many players left to extend, but one stands out. According to Bleacher Report, offensive lineman Jack Driscoll is the Eagles' most important extension candidate heading into the 2023 season.

"If general manager Howie Roseman is going to extend anyone early, backup lineman Jack Driscoll would make a lot of sense. While he's primarily a depth player, he can play multiple positions and is an extremely valuable insurance policy," Bleacher Report writes.

A fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Driscoll has been a solid reserve option up front for the Eagles. He has appeared in 37 games and started 16, but his most valuable trait is his ability to play both tackle and guard.

Driscoll is entering the final season of his rookie deal, making just over $1 million. He should get a big raise on his next deal, especially if he plays an even bigger role in 2023.

Beyond his production so far, the Eagles would like to keep Driscoll around for a couple of reasons. First, some of the line is on the older side with Kelce and right tackle Lane Johnson both in their mid 30s, so having a younger lineman behind them is always nice. Second, the Eagles have lost depth linemen before, including Andre Dillard this offseason, so they'd like to keep Driscoll around to fortify their depth.

With a contract year coming up, Driscoll will be even more motivated to play at his best in 2023.
