Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey responds to allegations regarding the team's work ethic
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Jalen Ramsey isn't buying what's being said about the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins' star cornerback, one of six Dolphins in Orlando for Pro Bowl festivities, met with the media during availability on Friday at Camping World Stadium, and he had another take on questions about work ethic of some of the players on the team.

"If Vic (Fangio) said that, then I would say he should be man enough to address who it is.  I don't think Vic said that though.  Personally, I don't think Vic would do that.  And I disagree, just because I know what we were about.  I know how I worked for damned sure, and I know how I led the other guys in that secondary, and I know how we worked.  But at the same time, we weren't couch potatoes.  We didn't go in the house all the time.  I'll stand on the table and say I work harder than anyone out here right now."

Ron Jaworski made news earlier this week when he went on local radio and said that he heard through sources that Dolphins players "didn't make the commitment to be successful", among other things.

That's a strong thing to say about a player or group of players.  However, if there's anyone who worked hard in 2023, it was Ramsey.  After tearing his meniscus at the start of training camp, he overcame a much longer diagnosis and managed to return for the Dolphins 31-17 win over the New England Patriots in Week 9.  He had two interceptions in the win.

We'll probably never know which side of the story is correct with any level of certainty.  However, it's hard to discount the word of the player who worked as hard as he did to get back on the football field with his teammates this year.
