Devin Hester and Kay Adams Dig Into The Bears Legend's Messy HOF Snub
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

It's no secret for any Chicago Bears fan in recent years, the NFL did us dirty by keeping Devin Hester out of Canton. The legendary Windy City return man spoke with Kay Adams, an NFL media veteran, a hardened Chicago fan, and an area native, recently let down by our beloved Bears, about the Pro Football Hall of Fame voting and how it affected him.

Devin Hester On The Hall of Fame Snub

When Kay asked Devin why he wasn't in the HAll, he responded with what most fans expected:

It makes sense, but it's maddening that this is happening to him of all players. If there is anyone the NFL could use as a trailblazer on special teams in the Hall of Fame, it's Devin freaking Hester.

Kay couldn't believe it, and neither do many fans. As Ms. Adams puts it, there was no one like Devin Hester before him nor ever since and there are kickers in the Hall of Fame, so it doesn't make sense.

Anyone who's watched the NFL over the last few decades knows well how Hester changed the game. Tony Dungy used the David vs. Goliath story to amp his Indianapolis Colts up against Hester before Super Bowl XLI, and we all remember how that opening kickoff turned out.

Hester revealed to Adams how emotional it was when he wasn't picked.

He cried and was frustrated, being so close yet still missing the cut. Hester feels confident that he'll represent the Chicago Bears in the Hall of Fame eventually, but for now, it's really out of his control.
