Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence inadvertently stole the show on Monday morning after an impressive Week 14 performance against the Philadelphia Eagles.
After the game, Lawrence delivered a very on-brand quote about being more physical than their opponents.
"You hit a mother****r in the face over and over and over and over again until they quit," a hyped Lawrence told reporters in the locker room. "And when they quit, hit them again and again and again.”
That's nothing surprising if you've heard Lawrence speak before. He's passionate and loves to drop some violent football quotes here and there.
But what turned this into elite comedy was a ESPN Sportscenter segment on Monday morning where the network showed an uncensored clip of Lawrence's quote. Hosts had to apologize moments later, making for some pretty funny national television.
Whoops. That probably wasn't supposed to be in there pic.twitter.com/f3rCaepPeF

What makes it even better is the relative incongruence of the whole thing. "Here, have thousands of highlights of grown men violently hitting each other on the football field and in the boxing ring or MMA octagon! We're here all week!"
But the second someone drops an F-bomb, it's apologies time. Unless you're Pat McAfee and bring millions of dollars in for the company in the process!
Anyways, Lawrence and the Cowboys are on fire and that's what matters. They're talking about it, too. They held the Eagles offense to only six points of scoring and they even had to break out a fake punt to get three of those points.
Up next, the Cowboys have a tougher challenge as they'll take on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, who have one of the best offenses in the league despite a misleading 7-6 record.
