Ever think you could outperform a professional athlete? Dan “Killer” Kennedy did. He’s a competitive eater and he had no problem keeping up with Philadelphia's best offensive lineman.
In order to maintain his playing weight, Lane Johnson eats four meals and consumes 5,000 to 6,000 calories a day. His meals include sausage links, an avocado, five scrambled eggs, a pair of 12-ounce ribeye steaks, two potatoes, three yogurts, two protein drinks, two bottles of orange juice and a ground beef and rice combination that Johnson calls “Monster Mash.”

Even at 325 pounds, that’s a lot of food for anyone to eat in one day. So how did Kennedy expect to eat it all in under 10 minutes? Pretty easily. Kennedy made quick work of Johnson’s meals and had it all down in six minutes and 45 seconds.
It’s an impressive feat but not surprising. In the past, Kennedy has been known to eat 48 McChicken sandwiches in one sitting and 160 chicken nuggets in under six minutes.
Now the only thing on Johnson’s plate is Philadelphia’s home opener against Minnesota. Coming off an ugly win against New England, Eagles fans hope their second helping of Eagles football is a little more palatable.
