Chicago Bears Sign Offensive Player To 2 Year Deal
Daniel Bartel-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears signed a fullback

The Chicago Bears came into the offseason with a lot of cap space. The Bears lead the NFL with the most cap before the free agency period, with about $95 million to spend. The Bears need to put that money to use for many positions, as they were the worst team in the NFL last season. The team used some of their coins to keep a fullback on the roster.

According to the sports agency Team IFA, the Bears signed Khari Blasingame to a two-year extension.

Blasingame was used as a pass-catching fullback when he was with the Tennessee Titans for three seasons. He did not have any yards catching or running for the Bears last season. Blasingame was primarily used as a run blocker in first-year offensive coordinator Luke Getsy’s scheme. The Bears still do not have a primary running back for the 2023 season, as David Montgomery will likely be heading to free agency.
