Chargers Injury Report: OL Zack Bailey Out for LA-Broncos Game
USA TODAY Sports

Despite the Los Angeles Chargers wanting to win on Sunday, they will have to do so facing a ton of injuries yet again. The team has not been able to avoid the injury bug all season, and both sides of the ball continue to get hit.

The Bolts are already without Coren Linsley, who is being shut down for the rest of the season. The offensive line is one of the most important units in football, and losing starters can often lead to disaster

To make matters worse on the offensive line, Zack Bailey has also been ruled out, as he is dealing with a significant back injury.

The strain on the offensive line is already being felt with Linsley being out, and now Bailey being out will result in the Chargers reshuffling things. Trey Pipkins III also popped up on the injury report earlier this week, but it appears he is doing fine.

The Bolts will now have to rely on Foster Sarell to step in should Pipkins befall a deeper injury designation.

Having to play against the Denver Broncos is certainly not the time when a team wants to be dealing with offensive line starters being out. The Denver defense has been scary this season, and they are #1 in multiple categories when it comes to creating turnovers.

Justin Herbert will need to play smart and protect the ball, especially with his offensive line being as thin as it currently is. The Chargers and Broncos are aiming to make the playoffs, and are set for two games against one another heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

The hope is that the Bolts can pull out wins both times, which will surely result in their playoff hopes not being dashed against the proverbial rocks. Injuries have been a sticky issue this season, and losing Bailey will certainly not help matters.
