Chargers Injury Report: LA Gets Good News On Key Wide Receiver
USA TODAY Sports

As the Los Angeles Chargers get ready for their Monday Night Football showdown with the New York Jets, they have received some good news on one of their main offensive weapons. Wide receiver Jalen Guyton practiced in full on Thursday, and he is in line to make his season debut this weekend.

Guyton hardly played last season for the Chargers before he tore his ACL. He has been working to get back, and it seems now is the time for him.

During his last full regular season, Guyton was extremely productive for the Bolts. He put up 31 catches for 448 yards and three touchdowns, and he also averaged 14.5 yards per reception as well.

Guyton should bring some extra firepower to this Chargers offense, especially given that receiver Mike Williams is out for the season. He can help spread the field for quarterback Justin Herbert, and it gives him another speedy weapon to use.

Guyton should allow offensive coordinator Kellen Moore the chance to take more deep shots down the field with Herbert, and it will keep the opposing defenses guessing. His experience with Herbert should bode well for him, and the two know what it takes to be successful.

The biggest issue for Guyton over the years has been his problem with drops. He was prone to them before his injury last season, so it will be something to watch as the year goes on.

Guyton may not be a fancy name for the Bolts, but he can help contribute down the line. His return will be a welcomed sight for the Chargers, and we can't wait to see how he performs.
