Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler has been out since Week 4 with a hamstring injury. However, it sounds like a return to the field is coming sooner rather than later.
In a video posted to his Twitter account on Thursday, the running back can be seen doing sprints on the sideline at the team's practice facility, captioning the video "the time draws near."

In four games this season, Ekeler has 49 carries for 248 yards and one touchdown with 17 catches for 144 yards.
Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley, Troymaine Pope and Kalen Ballage all have taken snaps in the Chargers backfield with Ekeler sidelined. Some of those players will continue to grind against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, though Ekeler could be back in time for the team's matchup against the New York Jets next weekend.
