Cardinals RB James Conner Wins FedEx Ground Player of the Week

After their third win of the season, the Arizona Cardinals saw one of their own recognized for a great effort in a 24-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

Running back James Conner has won the league's FedEx Ground Player of the Week award for his performance back in his hometown, which saw him rush for over 100 yards and two scores on the day. 

This is Conner's third time winning the honor and first since 2018 - where he won it twice. He's also the first Cardinals running back Since Kenyan Drake in 2019 to take home the award.

"For winning the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week Award, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation in Conner’s name to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), which will be applied towards needs-based scholarships to deserving HBCU students. 

"Through the air, another NFC West player in 49ers QB Brock Purdy is this week’s FedEx Air POTW after completing 19 of 27 attempts (70.4 percent) for 314 yards, 4 touchdowns, and a near-perfect 148.8 passer rating in SF’s domination of the Eagles."

The Cardinals are currently on their bye week but will host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15.
