Cardinals left guard Elijah Wilkinson placed on IR
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Dealing with a nagging neck injury, another starter in the Arizona Cardinals’ offense has been placed on injured reserve as left guard Elijah Wilkinson is now out.

Before, Wilkinson started all six games this season, but was unavailable in last week’s 20-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Additionally, this comes after Arizona tight end Zach Ertz suffered a quad strain against Seattle and was also sent to the IR.

Now, Wilkinson’s earliest return date is Nov. 26 against the Los Angeles Rams as he’ll be out for at least the next 4 games.

As a response, the Cardinals promoted wide receiver Andre Baccellia to the active roster from the practice squad.

Last year, Baccellia played in 8 games and recorded 45 yards, 7 receptions and scored 4 touchdowns.

Furthermore, Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray will stay on the Physically Unable to Perform List (PUP).

This means Murray will not suit up against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 29.

Also, Murray will have to be activated to the Cardinals’ 53-man roster by Nov. 8 or he’ll be unable to play for the rest of the season.

As reported earlier, there is a good chance that Murray can make his debut against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 5.
