Cardinals keeping OL Elijah Wilkinson, confirming he re-signed
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

As the hype and drama surrounding NFL Free Agency has dwindled, the Arizona Cardinals announced multiple players who will be remaining with the team.

After offensive lineman Trystan Colon, punter Blake Gillikin and linebacker Krys Barnes re-signed,  Arizona confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson will also be back for 2024.

The Pennsylvania native went undrafted in 2017 after four seasons (2013-16) in college at the University of Massachusetts (UMass).

Getting his first shot in the NFL, the Denver Broncos signed Wilkinson as a free agent. From 2017-20, he played 45 games (26 starts) and recovered two fumbles.

Wilkinson would then sign a one-year contract with both the Chicago Bears (2021) and Atlanta Falcons (2022). He suited up for 13 games for the Bears before heading to Atlanta and playing nine.

Demonstrating his versatility, the 29-year-old has lined up at tackle and guard on the offensive line throughout his seven-year NFL career.

On April 5, 2023, Wilkinson signed with the Cardinals. He played 10 games (nine starts) before suffering a neck injury on Oct. 28 last year and missing seven games as a result.

With him coming back next season, Wilkinson will continue to operate with the likes of Carter O’Donnell, Keith Ismael and Trystan Colon on the O-line.
