Browns RG Wyatt Teller on reserve/COVID-19 list, may play vs. Ravens

The Cleveland Browns mixed bad news with a bit of optimism on Tuesday.

Cleveland confirmed that right guard Wyatt Teller has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which initially put his status for next Monday night's divisional showdown with the Baltimore Ravens in doubt. However, Nathan Zegura of the Browns added that Teller is deemed a "high-risk close contact" of somebody outside the team who tested positive.

As long as the 26-year-old continues to test negative for the virus and reports no symptoms, there's a chance he could be activated before Monday evening.

Pro Football Focus currently ranks Teller as the top offensive guard for the campaign heading into Week 14 and coming off Cleveland's 41-35 win over the Tennessee Titans that propelled the Browns to 9-3 on the season. Quarterback Baker Mayfield tossed four touchdown passes in the first half of that victory and completed 25-of-33 attempts for 334 yards with no interceptions.

Teller suffered a Grade 2 calf strain in a win over the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 11 and missed the following three games before he returned to action against the Houston Texans on Nov. 15. Cleveland lost two of those three contests.

The Browns have won four in a row since Teller's return to the lineup.
