Bill Belichick is widely expected to join a different NFL team now that he has parted ways with the New England Patriots, but there is some reason to believe that may not happen in 2024.
Shortly after reports surfaced on Thursday that Belichick will not return to the Patriots, gambling odds were released for where the 71-year-old coach might wind up next. The favored outcome for many sportsbooks is that Belichick will not coach in the NFL at all next season. DraftKings listed that possibility at +175.

If Belichick does coach in the NFL next season, the Los Angeles Chargers are listed as the favorite to hire him at +200. Next are the Washington Commanders and Atlanta Falcons with +400 odds.
Belichick is just 15 wins shy of breaking Don Shula’s record of 347 combined regular-season and playoff victories for an NFL coach. All indications have been that he plans to pursue that record, but it is possible the 71-year-old could take a year off and wait for the perfect situation.
Belichick was quickly linked to one NFC team after news surfaced that he is out in New England. Perhaps all of the teams that are interested in him will have to wait.
