The Bengals have been coy about their punting situation all week.
Kevin Huber has struggled in recent games and with Drue Chrisman on the practice squad, the bye week seemed like a natural time to turn to the second-year pro.
The Bengals aren't ready to announce their decision. In fact, they haven't said if a decision has been made.
"We'll see how it plays out," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said on Friday. "We'll take all the time we're allotted before we make that decision."
Cincinnati travels to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET. They're looking for their first AFC North win of the season.
