The banged-up New York Jets elevate wide receiver Lawrence Cager and offensive lineman Jimmy Murray for Week 3’s matchup. Finally, it’s Cager time. After a nice training camp effort in August, undrafted rookie wide receiver Lawrence Cager will get his first crack at professional football this Sunday in Indianapolis when the New York Jets take on the Colts. The organization elevated Cager and offensive lineman Jimmy Murray from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday. Cager, 23, signed with the Jets following the virtual 2020 NFL Draft this past offseason. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 200 pounds, the Miami (FL) and Georgia product played well with quarterback Mike White in his first NFL camp. Cager caught several touchdowns in high-point style. The quarterback would simply throw it up for the big man to snag it at its highest point in the corner of the end zone. With Denzel Mims still on the IR and Breshad Perriman out, providing Sam Darnold at least one big sideline threat on the outside is critic
