Mayfield sets incredible mark in Bucs’ win over Packers

Baker Mayfield was outstanding in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. You could even make the argument that he played better at Lambeau Field than any visiting quarterback ever.

Mayfield went 22-for-28 for 381 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in Tampa Bay’s 34-20 win over the Packers. He posted a perfect passer rating of 158.3.

According to CBS, Mayfield was the first visiting quarterback to ever accomplish that feat at Lambeau Field, which opened in 1957.

Sunday’s game was by far Mayfield’s best of the season, but he has been steady all year for the Buccaneers.

The former No. 1 overall pick had to compete for a starting job in training camp. He has shown that he is still capable of winning games in the NFL.

Very few people expected the Bucs to be competitive after Tom Brady retired. Thanks largely to Mayfield’s surprisingly solid play, Tampa Bay is 7-7 and atop the NFC South with three games remaining in the regular season.
