Arizona Cardinals Teammate Gives Brutal Comment To Kyler Murray

An Arizona Cardinals lineman has advice for Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray is waiting for an injury to heal so he can play for the Arizona Cardinals next season. One of his teammates is waiting on Murray to mature. The 25-year-old quarterback will enter his fifth season in the NFL this fall. He’s earned two Pro Bowl nominations in his four seasons, but that doesn’t mean Murray has shed all of his youthful attributes.

Cardinals offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum was on the  Burns and Gambo show on Wednesday. He told the hosts Murray needs to “grow up a little bit” if he wants to be successful in the league and with the Arizona Cardinals:

“It’s not a completed process,” Beachum said. “I didn’t say he lacks leadership, I just think he needs to grow up a little bit. I think if he has the ability and willingness to grow up, he’s going to be just fine.

“They paid him for a reason, they paid him because of his talent. He has the ability to lead. When you’re in that position, we need you to lead more. You’re the face of the franchise … you have to lead in every single capacity.”

Those will be tough words for Murray to hear from his teammate. That’s probably a conversation that should have been had between Beachum and Murray instead of with the media. However, Murray will have a chance to show how much he’s learned next season when he returns next fall.
